Star Trek vs Real Life

Philosophically speaking, Star Trek does indeed mirror real life.
For example, United Earth (aka Federation of Planets) represents the United Nations,
while The United States would be the Ferengie (meaning the need for greed), The Russian Federation would be Vulcan, the countries like Iraq, North Korea, China,and ISIS would be the Klingons, Romulans, & Cardassians, and the other nations on Earth would be the Civilizations being evaluated for membership into the Federation of Planets. However, there is the Secret Society represented as The Borg, who would “assimilate” you without you knowing. Of course, there is a “Messiah” or “Chosen One” that is represented in the character Q. So my hat goes off to Gene Roddenberry,
may he rest in peace.
